Dogs and cats in the cabin must weigh at most 8 kg with the carrier, which must fit within 55 × 40 × 20 cm. Pets exceeding cabin limits may travel in the hold up to 45 kg; heavier animals require cargo. Arrange acceptance in advance and provide pet and crate details. Short-nosed dogs and cats are not accepted.

Wide-body cabin quotas are two pets in Business and four in Economy; narrow-body quotas are one and two. Published international one-way cabin fees are EUR 120 / GBP 110 / USD 150, or USD 300 from Addis Ababa to the US. Hold fees are USD 370 above 8 to 32 kg and USD 500 above 32 to 45 kg, with separate Addis Ababa–US rates. Domestic and codeshare conditions differ; fees are outside the baggage allowance.
