British Airways Pet Policy

Selected official pet-carriage conditions; route and service coverage is shown below.

Eligibility and route restrictions

Dog / Cat · In the cabin / Accompanied hold baggage / Separate cargo service

Ordinary pets are not carried in the cabin on any British Airways-operated route. UK pet travel is arranged in the aircraft hold through specialist partners; do not book it as ordinary passenger checked baggage without cargo confirmation. Assistance dogs have a separate process; emotional-support dogs travel as pets.

Selected official conditions only, for the operating airline and the direction, aircraft, service and dates stated in each rule. A mode tab may contain a prohibition or unresolved condition; it does not grant carriage. Obtain actual pet space approval and origin/transit/destination clearance separately. Assistance animals, commercial movement and unlisted services need separate assessment.

Booking and advance notice

Dog / Cat · Separate cargo service

From the UK the official page directs pet arrangements to Pet Air UK; into the UK it directs them to IAG Cargo. Obtain route, crate, fitness, documents and a cargo quote from the responsible partner. Meeting UK or destination entry rules remains separate from airline acceptance.
