Dog travel history, CDC procedures and separate cat requirements.
Category and travel-history branches require the stated conditions. A departure airport alone does not establish eligibility.
Check the applicable procedure
Dog · In the cabin / Accompanied hold baggage / Separate cargo service
Determine the dog’s CDC pathway using every country visited in the six months before entry and the country of rabies vaccination. A return to the United States is also an import; the departure airport alone does not establish the pathway.
Selected federal CDC rules. Hawaii, Guam, state requirements and USDA conditions are not fully covered. Dog rules depend on the previous six months and vaccination location, not only the departure airport.
Dog · In the cabin / Accompanied hold baggage / Separate cargo service
Only for dogs that have stayed exclusively in dog-rabies-free or low-risk countries during the previous six months: carry the CDC Dog Import Form receipt; the dog must be healthy on arrival, at least six months old and microchipped with a chip readable by a universal scanner. Other federal and destination requirements remain separate.

Cat · In the cabin / Accompanied hold baggage / Separate cargo service
CDC requires cats to appear healthy on arrival and allows inspection or further veterinary examination when illness is suspected. CDC does not require a cat rabies certificate, but this does not remove state, territory, airline or other authority requirements.
