Veterinary-law import certificate and border-control conditions checked with the complete 2022 amendment; personal-pet implementation still to confirm.

Article 28 of the Veterinary Law requires a veterinary certificate with each imported animal consignment, attesting veterinary/sanitary safety and the epizootic status of its country of origin. The law’s controlled-animal definition includes pets. Use an official certificate accepted by the Tajik veterinary authority for the actual dog/cat and origin; the statutory certificate definition concerns the competent state veterinary authority of the exporting country. The complete 2022 amendment does not replace this import clause. These texts do not identify a universal pet form, certificate-age limit, endorsement route or accepted-origin list. A domestic veterinary passport or a livestock export form is not established here as a substitute.
Selected national legal minimum for healthy adult privately owned dogs/cats, without sale/ownership transfer, entering on an origin, route and checkpoint accepted by the Tajik veterinary authority and carrier. Read the 2016 consolidated Veterinary Law together with the complete 8 June 2022 amendment 1881 and the Justice Ministry’s current Active status for Law 674. The amendment adds domestic non-agricultural/stray/shelter provisions without replacing the import-certificate or border-control clauses used here. This legal baseline is not a complete current individual-pet protocol, country acceptance or airline cabin permission. Cabin/checked/cargo describes the travel segment only. Obtain current implementing requirements, accepted certificate/endorsement and any permission before travel; rabies, identification, titer, parasites, young animals and isolation remain unconfirmed. Airport departure vaccination wording is not an inward arrival schedule; domestic movement identification is not a proven universal import-chip rule.

Article 15 allows controlled animals to cross the customs border only after checking their conformity with accompanying veterinary documents; customs clearance can finish only after that veterinary control. Samples or specimens may be taken for laboratory testing where necessary, not as a demonstrated universal dog/cat laboratory panel. Import admission remains subject to the competent authority’s veterinary rules and source-country disease status. Border examination is not a specified fixed isolation period, and this text does not prove a quarantine waiver.

Rules depend on the route, animal and operating carrier. Confirm your own journey with the relevant authority and airline.
Applicable conditions
Obtain the current individual dog/cat instructions and written origin/route/checkpoint acceptance before travel, including any prior permission, certificate format and state endorsement, rabies vaccine timing/validity, identification, titer, parasites, young-animal exceptions and quarantine. The legal baseline does not resolve them. The 2022 stray-animal sterilisation and shelter provisions do not require imported private pets to be sterilised or housed in a shelter. Article 16’s domestic movement wording does not establish a universal inward microchip rule. Dushanbe Airport’s undated transport file gives departure vaccination wording and cabin values, not a proven Tajik arrival schedule or a named airline’s current policy. None of these unknowns is an exemption; this collection does not approve a trip.
