Documents and permits
Dog / Cat · In the cabin / Accompanied hold baggage / Separate cargo service
Apply for entry permission with the pet’s full description and chip number, including returning animals. For a first entry, the protocol requires a government-issued/stamped international certificate within 30 days before arrival, recording the last two rabies vaccinations. Coordinate US issuance and APHIS endorsement with the veterinarian; the permit must actually be approved.
Selected official requirements for personal pet dogs/cats exported from the United States. These are entry conditions, not airline acceptance. Other origins, commercial movements, transit, unusual ages and permit-specific conditions need separate checks. Confirm all requirements with the issuing veterinarian and destination authority.
Dog / Cat · In the cabin / Accompanied hold baggage / Separate cargo service
Use an ISO-compatible microchip and put its number on the application, health certificate, blood sample and titer report. Maintain current approved monovalent killed rabies vaccination; the protocol accepts annual/three-year vaccines and does not vaccinate below three months.

Applicable conditions
The endemic-origin branch requires one approved-laboratory FAVN ≥0.5 IU/ml, sampled at least 30 days after the most recent rabies vaccine. The protocol also requires sampling at least three months before expiry; confirm the relevant expiry date with Veterinary Services. The laboratory sends the report directly to the destination’s St Kitts or Nevis office, with chip number and full animal details.

Dog / Cat · In the cabin / Accompanied hold baggage / Separate cargo service
A separate accredited-veterinarian health certificate issued within five days before arrival must accompany the pet and record internal/external parasite treatment and the anthelmintic name. Do not substitute the first-entry 30-day government certificate for this recent certificate.
