Dogs normally need a vet-administered praziquantel or equally effective treatment abroad twenty-four to 120 hours before entering Finland, recorded in the passport. Direct arrival from Ireland or Malta is exempt within this EU branch. A documented twenty-eight-day programme is an alternative, not an extra requirement; cats need neither treatment.
