Carry an official veterinary export certificate issued by the origin authority in Spanish or English, stating compliance with Ecuador’s health requirements. Pets travelling in the cabin or delivered with passenger baggage use this document for the entry procedure.
Selected entry-document procedures. Full species-specific health conditions still require the current Agrocalidad instructions. Antibody tests for a later return to the origin country must not be mistaken for universal Ecuador entry rules.
Agrocalidad states that pets accompanying a traveller in the cabin do not require an animal-health import permit. The official veterinary export certificate remains mandatory.

Unaccompanied cargo requires an animal-health import permit. Send the arrival-airport office the airway bill, owner’s passport, contact details, export certificate, vaccination record and customs-agent details if applicable at least 72 hours before arrival.
