For the vaccinated adult branch, rabies vaccination is given from at least 12 weeks of age, remains valid, and at least 21 days have passed after completion of the primary course. Revaccination after expiry counts as primary; a timely booster remains in the continuous-validity branch. Young-animal declarations alone do not establish permission to enter.

APHIS exempts current-rabies US pets travelling directly to Albania or only through the posted Annex II listed countries or the EU from rabies titration. Non-listed transit must satisfy the separate no-contact/secure-transit declaration pathway or test pathway. Confirm it with the certifying veterinarian: the model’s body measures the three-month test wait to certificate issue, while its note measures it to import; this checklist does not calculate that alternative date.

A USDA-accredited veterinarian completes the model and APHIS endorses it within ten days of travel. The model gives ten days from official issue to documentary/identity entry checks, with an additional sea-journey extension only for sea transport. Digital endorsement is accepted; carry the printed endorsed certificate and required attachments.
